We're Making Progress

I'm happy to report that we've made so much progress this year in taking down our Christmas Tree.  It's only January 19th, and we already have the ornaments packed (or close to it), the lights off, and the branches are down!

I know, I know, some of you are shuddering right now at the thought of having Christmas decorations up past Martin Luther King Day.

I'm not advocating the practice, believe me.  But, considering that last year, the undecorated tree was still standing in our front room AT EASTER, this is progress.

I would like to offer you an explanation for why we keep our tree up this long, but there is none.  None, that is, besides the one that the Bionic Man and I truly hate to take down Christmas.  I've even got a plethora of non-Christmas winter decorations to put up in place of the Christmas stuff, but the fact of the matter is, it's just hard for us to let Christmas go.

We will delve into this in therapy someday, I am sure, and get some answers.

Until then, baby steps take down the Christmas tree!
