Here's a pic of the first bento of 2011.
Clockwise from left: ranch dressing, thin-sliced turkey breast, Pringles chips,
Golden Grahams & Chocolate (my marshmallows went stale--drat!--or this would have been s'mores!), applesawuce, carrots
Want to know more about bentos, or get some truly artistic bento inspiration? I whole-heartedly recommend a visit to Another Lunch, where Melissa has recently been documenting her own 12 Days of Christmas, bento style. (Much prettier than my own 12 Days of Embarrassing Moments.)
Enjoy!
I heart bentos! Just bought some new bento containers, because my Ikea ones were too big, and lacked sealing power (sure were pretty, though.) I have been successfully sending home lunch with my kids now 3-4 times a week, which is a HUGE improvement for me. They still insist on eating school lunch on Pizza Fridays. You changed my life with your first bento post!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm so going to "borrow" your idea. Another use for my square silicone cupcake holders! Thanks for sharing!
