Happy Valentine's Day!
I'm back! And since the Bionic Man doesn't read the old blog on a frequent basis, I can tell you that I'm headed off to surprise him for Valentine's Day. I haven't quite figured out what the surprise is, yet....but I'm thinking part of it will be 13 large balloons in his very small commuter car. Good times!
Since she's home from school today, Superkid will be my special assistant. My special assitant and I will also be heading to the doctor and the lab and hopefully not to the hospital, but that is another story.
Luckily, Bionic Man's work is on the way to our hospital, so we can surprise him no matter what, since Superkid isn't exactly suffering. (Don't think I'm callous. It's a whole metabolic thing that is going to require another post. Short version: the dry winter air may have dehydrated her somewhat. She's sensitive enough metabolically that there is a chance she's going to need some I.V. fluids this week. Bummer.)
Personally, I think the Bionic Man would rather not have part of the V-day surprise be a call from the children's hospital saying that Superkid and I are celebrating in the Heart Center, today. For some reason, he's just not into that kind of thing. So, let's keep our fingers crossed that none of today's Valentine fun will be administered intravenously or involve heart monitoring. (I know, I know, we really know how to celebrate, around here!)
So, while my special Valentine assistant and I are off attending to matters of romance and metabolic syndromes, feel free to click over here to read last year's Valentine post. Make sure you watch the videos--they are a favorite memory!
Have fun working on your Valentine surprise!! Also saying lots of prayers for Superkid to not need IVs or any monitoring. :( Poor kiddo!!
ReplyDeleteHeart monitors on VDay. Good luck!! Best wishes.
